Below are two examples of recent international online projects ...
- A global media and technology giant wanted to explore the future of their category. We saved the client around 50% of the costs of a classic face-to-face international qual project by conducting a multi-stage project online. Stage one was ‘live’ online group discussions with consumers (media and technology early adopters and youth segments) in India, the US and UK. Stage two comprised transnational online forums (bulletin board discussions taking place over a week) with a selection of the best of the respondents from each country connecting and discussing concepts developed from stage one. Using our methodology for this project not only saved the client money, it had the added advantage of being time efficient. As all groups were moderated from the UK via our online qualitative tool, no travel days were built into the overall project design.
- A brand communications agency commissioned YouGov to run a quantitative research project in the following 12 cities: Bangkok, Beijing, Berlin, Delhi, London, Mexico City, Mumbai, New York, Paris, Rome, Sao Paulo and Toronto. Using the YouGov model saved the client approximately three quarters of the project costs in comparison with other, traditional methods. The project was completed within 2 weeks, providing data for each city individually as well as analysis of the similarities and differences between these markets.
